Aspectele legate de securitatea manipularii materialelor explozive au condus la aparitia unui decalaj relativ ridicat intre gradul de mecanizare al lucrarilor de impuscare si cel al celorlalte operatii specifice extragerii rocilor tari.

Elaborarea de noi sorturi de materiale explozive si mijloace de initiere, in special cele cu caracteristici superioare la transport si manipulare, au permis si vor permite in continuare, realizarea de mijloace pentru mecanizarea lucrarilor de impuscare, acestea impunandu-se ca o modalitate eficace de crestere a eficientei si gradului de securitate la derocarea cu ajutorul explozivilor.

Preocuparile mai recente privind reducerea nivelului de risc, in conditiile apropierii locatiilor in care se efectueaza lucrari de impuscare sau dezvoltarii unor habitate si obiective industriale in arealul limitrof, au impulsionat diversificarea mijloacelor pentru mecanizarea prepararii si incarcarii mecanizate a explozivilor in situ. In astfel de conditii din ce in ce mai frecvente, construirea si amplasarea unor depozite de materii explozive conduce la cresterea nivelului de risc si reducerea nivelului de securitate.

Ca urmare, ultimele generatii de mijloace pentru mecanizarea lucrarilor de impuscare au vizat reducerea nivelului de risc la utilizare, depozitare si transport, datorita faptului ca se transporta si depoziteaza de regula precursori care nu sunt incadrati ca materii explozive sau ca bunuri periculoase conform legislatiilor nationale si respectiv clasificarii expertilor Natiunilor Unite potrivit „cartii portocalii”.

Trecerea la mecanizarea lucrarilor de impuscare are ca suport multiplele avantaje oferite – verificate in principal pe plan mondial si partial in tara noastra – dintre care sunt de amintit:
– reducerea consumului de manopera si timp comparativ cu incarcarea manuala;
– decongestionarea zonei periculoase in timpul efectuarii lucrarilor de impuscare;
– cresterea concentratiei de energie exploziva pe unitatea de volum de gaura;
– cresterea coeficientului de transfer a energiei explozive mediului supus dislocarii;
– extinderea domeniului de utilizare a explozivilor;
– reducerea costurilor primare datorate explozivilor;
– reevaluarea parametrilor geometrici ai retelelor de impuscare in sensul cresterii acestora;
– reducerea volumului lucrarilor de perforare cu efectele pozitive ce decurg de aici;
– reducerea volumului de lucrari de impuscare secundare;
– reducerea cheltuielilor de transport, depozitare si paza;
– eficientizarea managementului lucrarilor de impuscare;
– cresterea nivelului de securitate si reducerea nivelului de risc.

Se poate afirma deci, ca in conditiile actuale ale economiei de piata, reevaluarea potentialului de eficientizare a lucrarilor de impuscare prin mecanizarea acestora, trebuie sa constituie o preocupare majora, in acest domeniu existand inca suficiente rezerve ce trebuiesc valorificate.

Aspects related to the security of handling of explosive materials have led to a relatively high gap between the degree of mechanization of the blasting works and that of other operations specific to the extraction of hard rocks.

The development of new types of explosive materials and initiation means, especially those with superior transport and handling characteristics, have allowed and will continue to allow the development of means for mechanization of the blasting works, which are imposed as an effective way of growing the efficiency and the degree safety for blasting with the help of explosives.

The more recent concerns about the reduction of the risk level, given the proximity of the locations where the shooting works are being carried out or the development of some habitats and industrial sites in the surrounding area, have stimulated the diversification of the means to mechanically prepare and mechanically load explosives on site. Under such increasingly frequent conditions, the construction and location of explosive storage sites leads to increased risk levels and lower security levels.

As a result, the latest generation of means to mechanize the blasting works aimed at reducing the level of risk in use, storage and transport, due to the fact that precursors that are not classified as explosives or dangerous goods under national laws and respectively the classification of United Nations experts according to the “orange book” are usually transported and stored.

The transition to the mechanization of the blasting works offers many advantages – verified mainly worldwide and partially in our country – of which we can mention:
– reducing labor and time consumption compared to manual loading;
– decongestion of the dangerous area during the shooting operations;
– increasing the amount of explosive energy per unit volume of the hole;
– increasing the transfer rate of the explosive energy to the environment subjected to dislocation;
– expanding the field of use of explosives;
– reduction of primary costs due to explosives;
– re-evaluating the geometrical parameters of the blast design with the aim of their increase;
– reducing the volume of drilling works with the positive effects that result from it;
– reducing the volume of secondary blasting works;
– Reduction of transport, storage and security costs;
– Improving the management of the balsting works;
– increasing the level of security and reducing the level of risk.
It can be therefore said that in the current market economy conditions, the re-evaluation of the potential for efficiency of the blasting works by their mechanization must be a major concern, given that in this field there are still plentiful reserves to be capitalized.
